Tec-Larm Fire Systems Complaint - Bad Service - Computer Repair

OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS -- I have the 2 year service agreement with this company and purchased a HP computer, in January or February, 2008, within 2 weeks the first computer had a problem, and they did replace it with a different computer. At that time the manager indicated that I should have their deluxe Service agreement, and if I had a future problems this service agreement would have be back on the road without any hassle. (BIG DEAL). When I took the unit it we were having a problem with the Internet Explorer, it was locking up and the personnel with their Firedog service indicated that they would check it out. (Remember I have Norton Anti-Virus 2008 and Spyware checking my system every 24 hours automatically,

The computer is less then 6 months old and they thought that I had 20 Trojans on it so they wanted $100.00 so they could remove these virus and this would fix everything. But since the service agreement did not cover removing virus I would have to pay the $100.00. Even though I had a service agreement. I paid the $100.00 and it took them 5 days to supposedly fixed the problem, I was told that I had a clean computer and should not have any problems. I picked the computer up that evening and found that the problem with the Internet Explorer was not fixed, so the next day I took it back to the store, and guess what? They wanted another $100.00.

The on duty store manager was the most rude person I have ever had the unpleasant task of dealings with. (If I had an employee working for me and treated my customers in that manner, he would be selling pencils on the street the next day). All he could say is what do you "what do you want me to do"! Fill out another work order and pay another $100.00 and we will fix it. Guess what they didn't get another $100.00, screw me once shame on you screw me twice shame on me....

I would never buy another item in a Circuit City Store again, nor would I ever recommend it to any of my business assoc. My next letter will be to HP and inform them of this kind of representative of their product Circuit City is.
I know this will fall on deaf ears and no one will care from Circuit City, because they have enough of their own problems with upper management.
So far I've paid this company over $300.00 for service that is NO GOOD. (Service Agreement and Repair Order).

I might as well threw this money out in the street for as much good as it did.
All I can say is be careful dealing with this group of people.

I bought my HP puter at Wal-Mart after we moved up here from Arizona, when we found out mine had been fried by lightning. I found out it had Norton 360 for a 60 day trial, and the platform is Vista. I kept getting messages that Microsft Updates had been shut down, and clicking a few keys showed me it was caused by the Norton anti-virus. I uninstalled it and installed my Security Suite 8 Pro from Avanquest, and have not had a moment's problem since.
