Subway Complaint - Scrabble Advertisement
22030, VIRGINIA -- I've been misled by Subways advertisement. Don't believe the Scrabble game they're promoting.
Yesterday (Monday, Sept. 29) at the 9500 Arlington Blvd. Fairfax, VA (22031) Subway restaurant, I was told that they weren't giving any Scrabble numbers with the Chicken Teryaki combo I ordered.
I complained, pointing at the poster they had in the store. "You should give me Scrabble stickers... it says it right there". Needless to say, they brushed it off by saying "we should have taken it down". Since their English was so poor, they might have said something slightly different like "we will take it down". I then told them that the Subway website says that the Scrabble game hasn't ended and that there's at least a full week left.
Blank stares looking back at me... They didn't even apologize.
This is the SECOND time this has happened to me. The first time was at a Subway nearby (10760 Lee Highway). I also bought a sandwich, chips and soda. This time they told they were only giving ONE scrabble number! That's not what Subway advertises!
So what's happening?
I didn't return to that particular Subway because they had changed the rules. I never will, because I had been lied to (in broken English). But the next one was even worse! (No stickers at all).
I don't think I'll ever go back to a Subway restaurant, as long as there's Quizno's. A total rip-off. And the employees never seem to speak English or understand a simple complaint.
Quizno's from now on.
