Geek Squad Complaint - In Home Computer Repair Complaint
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I wish I had looked at these reviews prior to paying $300 to have my computer "repaired"! Even if I had, I would've considered it bad luck or simply chronic complainers with little validity. Now, all I want to do is climb to the highest mountain top and shout "STAY AWAY FROM THE GEEK SQUAD!!!" Our computer was completely crashed when we hired the geek squad to fix it. When they left it appeared to be working. The next day when used for the first time since being "fixed", a problem with email appeared as well as with the computer phone. Getting the geek squad to return emails or make a commitment to fix these problems per the warranty took almost 2 weeks and more phone calls and emails then should ever be necessary.
Then, 3 appointments were set up and each was canceled the day of unless we agreed to spend another $150. I called Best Buy's corporate division to try and remedy the situation as well as the deputy field manager of the geek squad. Nada, nothing, nix. I can't even begin to express what a waste of money this was and how appalling their customer service was.
The so-called warranty is literally a joke and the fact that they wouldn't fix the computer correctly is astounding. They never remedied the problem.
