RCA Complaint - Don't buy RCA! 26" LCD TV failed to work after only 4 months!
Resolution Update on 02/09/2009:
RCA replaced my TV with a reconditioned one and so far so good. I had to pay around $90.00 out of warranty fee to make it happen.
STRONGSVILLE, OHIO -- We purchased the set at Walmart at the end of March 2008. At the end of July the reception on every channel went bad - you could barely make out the picture. I called RCA and explained the problem and they said they would replace the set. Sounds good - right? Wrong - I couldn't find my receipt so it took about 6 weeks more to get a copy of the receipt. When I faxed RCA the receipt in early Oct. they said they would have to charge me a $ 100.00 out of warranty fee to replace the set! (By the way Walmart wouldn't take it back or exchange it after the 90 days warranty period either). I told them they had to be kidding! I have had TV sets that lasted 15 years without a problem and theirs lasts 120 days and they are going to charge me! Do you believe the nerve of this company!
I told them they just lost a customer and I would go on every web site I could find and tell my story! Paybacks are - well you know what they are!
