Sprint Compliment - Accommodating Service
SAINT PETERS, MISSOURI -- I have been with Sprint for about 5 years. I started off with single phone plan and added another line. The following year I added three more lines.
Well, in September, I decided to upgrade my plan to the 1500 min. talk/data share plan. (By the way,I think this plan is well priced for all the features I'm getting. LOVE the free Navigator) What was the problem? Well three phones could be upgraded to take full advantage of this new plan, but two phones (which one happened to be mine) had another year before upgrade eligibility.
I went to a Sprint store and asked if my phone could access these new features that I wanted to use. When I was told no it could not, I asked if I could get some kind of upgrade rebate.
They were not able to help me. They said I would not be eligible for another year. I explained that it would be cheaper for me to terminate the two remaining phones and sign with another plan. Though they were polite while explaining that it was not in their power to do any adjustments.
I was not happy when I left the store. AT&T was just down the street and I had every intention to switch to them. Fortunately, the store was closed.
I then called Sprint customer service. I selected the cancel service option. No, I was not unhappy with their service. I just wanted a data plan, a phone that could handle it. I explained to the representative how it would be cheaper for me to terminate and then sign on with another plan.
Well, the representative said she understood, asked me to hold on and she would consult with someone, came back on the line and offered me $100 off on each of the two phones I wanted to upgrade. It was taken off of my phone bill.
We all love the new plan and our phones. The GPS is excellent. I love my Instinct and I would just like to compliment Sprint for the politeness I received through this transition and their flexibility in keeping me happy.
