American Airlines Complaint - Never Fly With Your Animal On This Airlines!!!
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I called the 1-800 number located on the website. Through this woman, I set up 2 reservations for my 2 cats to be flown out while my husband and I were moving cross country. I get up day of at 4am to get them on the flight for 5, get to the ticket counter with 2 crying cats and the man tells me to wait because he's just opening. He sits there and takes his good old time and then finally takes me (the only one standing there) I tell him I have a reservation, give him the numbers and he laughs at me. He says, San Diego does not take reservations off 1-800 number for cargo, I don't know who you were speaking with and you don't have the proper paperwork, you can't fly them.
I CALLED THIS WOMAN AGAIN from the 1-800 number, she confirmed both the reservation and the proper documentation that I had the 1st time. I go back to him, he says well I don't know who you were talking to. IT WAS THERE 1-800 NUMBER!!!! After driving 3000 miles with both the 2 dogs and 2 cats, I find out that a friends cat she'd flown a few days earlier had gotten sick from the temperatures and conditions of the flight and later passed. It was something that the cat had caught while in cargo.
If you love your animals, NEVER use this airline!!!!
