Hotels.com Complaint - They Make A Mistake. But I'm Supposed To Pay For It!!
Resolution Update on 10/13/2008:
Marriott has honored my request and changed my reservation
NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I booked a room at the Marriott today through Hotels.com. I run small business, and I and my contractors have been customers of both companies for a long time. Never before have I had a problem.
But today something went wrong. And when I received my confirmation email, the dates of my reservation were wrong.
So I called Hotels.com. Less than two minutes had passed since I made the reservation. But they refused to help. They insisted that neither their staff nor their software could have made an error. They also insisted that they could not change my reservation or cancel the charge. Instead, they said I needed to talk to Marriott (the Boston Marriott in Newton, MA).
The folks there were even less helpful. They have rooms available on the nights I want, but they won't change my reservation dates. They insist that only Hotels.com can do that.
Needless to say I won't do business with either of these companies again.
