Sears Complaint - Poor Service @ Optical Dept.
DOVER, DELAWARE -- In 2007, my sister purchased a frame w/ lenses at the Wilmington, DE. store. Everything was good, until 6 months later, when she needed a lens change. She was told that the $229.00 frames were not reusable. If she had been told that when she purchased them, she would have chosen a different frame.
I bought a frame and lenses in Dover, DE that were good, too. When I notice scratches w/o any depth on the lenses, I was told that it was the anti glare treatment that I purchased. The manager also told me that the treatment was part of the lens, and could not be corrected. That was in Dover, DE.
No attempt to correct these problems were offered, not even a price adjustment. I wasn't looking for something free.
I have been dealing w/ Sears for 50+ years, and the few problems that I have had, were always resolved to my satisfaction.
I have glasses from Sears that are 3 years old, that are in good condition and they have no scratches on them. They were purchased in Myrtle Beach, SC
