Best Buy Informative - Inferior Laptop Computer
MORROW, GEORGIA -- I am very upset because I purchased a laptop for my daughter for her first year in college. This was purchased on Aug 3 08 and it just stopped working on Sept 24 08. Returned it to Best Buy and the Geek Squad on Sept 25 08. Today is Oct 17 and they still have it. They said its taking so long because they had to order a lot of parts in order to repair it. I do not want an inferior product that cost me 450 dollars and asked for a replacement that would allow my daughter to use it for purpose intended. Best Buy and the Geek Squad refused to work with me. They also advised me if I purchase a new laptop and return in within the allotted 14 days they would charge me a 15 percent restocking fee. I want what I thought I paid for, an undamaged computer and I need it now so my daughter can do her homework at home. Best Buy know they are in the wrong, how would they feel if they paid that much money for a product that was damaged. It has been almost a month since we have been without this laptop and with it being a damaged item its not telling what kind of problems we will have in the future.
This is certainly a matter of principle and I consider it totally unacceptable. I want a new laptop and I want it promptly.
