Motel 6 Complaint - Never AGAIN - Terrible Rooms

Review by Traveler from Europe on 2008-10-18
Motel 6 – Never Again!!!

We had pre-booked our Motel 6 accommodations in advance and stayed from 5 through 11 October 2008 at the following locations, (Rochester, Harrisburg, Washington, Philadelphia-Airport)

The rooms were terrible. We experienced filthy and smelly rooms, poor and unclean bedding, they could not give us enough towels for each person in Rochester and we had to leave early to find another place to stay.

In Harrisburg, the toilet was not working, we had to change rooms and found out that the toilet was leaking.

In Washington, we had to change rooms because there was water coming through the ceilings I have pictures to prove it. We ended up in a smaller room. The topic of a refund was completely ignored by the management.

In Philadelphia we were attacked and bitten during the night by fleas.
Our Motel 6 experience was a complete disappointment. The Accor Hotels Group should be ashamed of this poor service and conditions of Motel 6.
I travel a lot in Europe and have stayed at many Accor Hotels (Ibis, Novotel and Etap), they were generally good.

I have never experienced this.

Motel 6 is taken from our list, never again!

If you stayed at a Motel 6 in Philly, be glad you weren't attacked by something much, much larger than a flea.

Probably wasn't fleas...more & likely bedbugs.

I wouldn't be caught dead in a Motel 6 or Days Inn. Saving the $30 is just not worth it.

I always thought motel 6 was one of those motels you like paid for by the hour. It would never occur to me to stay in a place like that, but why did you keep staying at motel 6? By the second or third day, time around, I would have moved on.
