Baskin Robbins Informative - Drop in Quality - Ice Cream

Ice Cream
Review by johnz on 2008-10-19
SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN -- It is my understanding that since Baskins quit making their own ice cream and turned it over to Dean Foods the quality and butterfat content has been greatly reduced.

I had wondered why when it used to be a good product and now I know.. Their stores in this area need a great deal of updating as they look tired.

If Dean Foods is making Baskin-Robbins ice cream now, possibly in the same plants as the Dean's and Reiter lines, there's nothing unique about B/R anymore. If I'm going to an ice cream parlor, even a chain, I expect something different than what I could find at a supermarket.

Dean's has been making Baskin Robbins since 2001.
