AAA Complaint - Pathetic Customer service..The worst ever I have come across
MICHIGAN -- I moved from Michigan to Ohio and I had to get my auto insurance transferred over to OH. I contacted a cust representative at OH and she got me a new policy but she failed to inform me that I had to call MI and ask them to cancel my old policy. Since my policy was expiring the same month, I assumed that it wouldn't matter. But after 3 months I realized that deductions were still going off my bank account(though I didn't authorize this). When I called AAA Michigan, nobody could tell me how they were taking money from my account though I didn't authorize it. So I thought let me just get my money back and asked them what am I supposed to do. And I was asked to fax my new policy and my old policy. And I did that and called them back. And the cust representative told me that I will get my refund in 7 days. 7 days passed and I didn't get anything. So I called back and I reached another representative and he told me that the request didn't go thro after 30 minutes of digging into old faxes. And then he was like I have put in a request and you will get your refund in 5 days. Not surprising, I still didn't receive anything. Its been almost a month now since I first called and every time I call I end up talking to someone new and have to explain the problem all over again. And some of the representative talk like they are doing me a favor by talking to me. This has by far been one of the worst customer care teams ever. I am considering switching to a different company for my insurance.
