Age Invisible/Mineral Elements Complaint - Questionable Practices

Review by lkbeatt on 2008-10-22
While trying to vote for a political candidate online, I was bombarded with all these ads trying to get me to buy products, which, stupidly, I did, thinking I was buying a one time product both for under 10.00, a good deal I suppose, and both of which I did receive, then about three weeks later I see that these companies have drawn over 100.00 from my account. I immediately called the numbers, different numbers but answered by the same call center, and cancel, under the impression I would receive additional products soon.

I did not and called this call center again only to find out my first payment was for shipping and handling only. I think the business practices are seedy and questionable and will not use either of these products again.

This just makes no sense at all.

This helps pump up the economy - to vote for anyone you have to buy something. What a concept.

Maybe I'm just naive, but can't you close out of those pop-ups or install a pop-up blocker?
