Golden Motors Complaint - The Worst Parts & Service Department Ever
CUT OFF, LOUISIANA -- We purchased a 2007 Silverado from our local dealership in cut off Louisiana. We have had several problems with this truck and have always brought it to the local dealership. There parts & service department are the worst we have ever had to deal with. On one occasion we brought the truck in (for what would normally be a very simple task) to get the tires rotated, which we thought was done proper since it's a very simple task, but 2 weeks latter we had to bring the truck back in because the fuel pump was out, it took 7 days for them to repair this problem and when the truck was picked up we were told that when the rotation was done that the tires were put on the wrong way (they are directional tires) and if I returned with the truck the next day they would correct the problem.
The very next morning the truck was brought back to them so they could correct their mistake. When we were leaving with the truck the first thing that we noticed was that the truck once again stalled (as it did when they said the fuel pump was out and should have already been fixed) the second thing we noticed was that it sounded like we were driving an army tank down the road the tires were making so much noise. We returned with the truck the very next morning and told them about the stalling that was still occurring and the horrible loud sound of the tires. We were told that the fuel pump needed to adjust itself and that as for the tires that since they were on the wrong way that the tires had worn out that way and now that they were on the right way that they just needed to ware out on the right side and the loud sounds would stop.
When my wife was told this she asked them so your telling me they wore out on the wrong side and now I need to let them wear out on the right side? Right? They said yes she them asked them well what will we have left good on the tire? Just the middle?!!! They did not know what to say about that, she them told them that we wanted 2 new tires to replace their screw up, she was told that was impossible, you should all know that my wife does not give up easily. She insisted on speaking with the owner and after a very heated argument and the knowledge that she would not give this issue up we ended up with 2 new tires, but they never did fix the fuel pump problem.
I had a flat tire on October 15 called the local dealership to order me a tire my wife brought in the tire and asked about the road hazard warranty and was told very rudely that they would check into the warranty. They were told to go ahead and order the tire because we figured whether the warranty covers or not we need the tire. On the second day of waiting for word about the warranty and the tire my wife called about the warranty herself and was told that we were covered, she then called the local dealership to let them know that we knew that the tire was covered under the road hazard warranty and asked about the delivery of the tire, she was told that the tire would be in on Monday October 19th it is now the 5th day of waiting for the delivery of the tire and my wife was told today that the tire will not be in until October 24th or 27th.
We know they are just jacking us around because the tire is covered in the warranty, but unless we want to take the 50-100 mile drive to another dealership we are stuck doing business with the worst parts & service department ever.
