Comcast Corporation Complaint - Comcast is horrible!
BRICK, NEW JERSEY -- I just read an article praising Comcast for hiring 7 people to search the internet for dissatisfied customers. I find that funny. I think their time would be better spent handling the MANY complaints that people have already placed with their company.
I have had Comcast TV and internet service for over a year and half. When I first called to have service hooked up I was told they would be there between 12 and 3...not a problem, I will wait. The problem is, they didn't show up until 6 after I called twice. Then, 5 months ago I moved to a different part of the state so I had to transfer my service and added phone service. Again, they were hours late, with not so much as a courtesy call. When he finally arrived, the installer brought the wrong equipment so I ended up having to go to the office to change it out. That box didn't work when I hooked it up...back to the office I went. After several calls to customer service that one finally worked.
I thought the drama was over, that is until I received my first bill. They charged me for service that was already paid for on my old account, they were charging me for regular service when I signed up for the triple play, and they were charging me for an unlisted number even though I never requested it, and it was still showing up anyway. All total I was overcharged by over $200. After hours spent on hold trying to correct it, I was told they would issue a credit for all but $111, and they would send a check for that amount.
It's 5 months later, my phone service has static and people constantly tell me they can't hear me, and I STILL have not gotten a refund. In the meantime I received 5 "courtesy calls" to see how I liked my service, and I told them exactly what happened and what I thought. I didn't get so much as an "I'm sorry", much less someone telling me they would take care of it for me.
So Comcast, since apparently you have to post something online in order for you to pay attention, here you go. I would LOVE to hear from you.
