Best Buy Informative - Buyer Beware Of Open Box / Floor Model Purchases
CONNECTICUT -- Best Buy will not provide any missing parts for open box purchases regardless of what store sales people tell you. I recently bought a portable dishwasher and was told everything was there the only problem was a dent. Upon delivery I asked the driver where was the faucet connection, I was told it is here on the back. The hose to connect was on the back but the actual faucet connector was not any where. I went back to the store and asked if they had the connector, they first tried to sell me an installation kit for an under cabinet dishwasher which I did not need. I told them all I need is the faucet connector that comes with the dishwasher according to the manual. I asked if they would get me one, sure if I paid extra for it. The dishwasher will not work without the connector. I was told it was not the store's responsibility to ensure that an open box purchase was complete or was in working order upon delivery.
If I need a part or if the dishwasher does not work I was told to call the manufacture. I will never buy an open box item from them again and I recommend you avoid making the mistake I did.
