Maytag Corporation Informative - Class Action Lawsuit
This was handled by a 3rd party legal team. Which means that Maytag did not notify people of the issues but the legal team did and all requirements were met by the court. If you did own a product and did not have problems with the appliance or did not register the product and you did not need assistance at the time this legal action was ongoing. Calling into customer service well after the fact and whining about a current issue that is in no way associated with the past -- gets you nothing!!!
Do not abuse or degrade the person that you are calling and asking for assistance. If your child acted like an idiot. You would or should punish them accordingly.
Get over it if you are told no. READ your WARRANTY and act like a grown up when you call to take care of your business. Remember these appliances are owned by you the consumer!
Every appliance needs some upkeep and care if you choose not to take care of things in the manner they should be then things might happen like -- Mold, mildew, odor and you might need to change parts on the appliance.
Nothing lasts forever and due to changes in electronics, energy efficiency ratings and things that are beyond the control of customer service you as a consumer may have to spend money to take care of your appliance(s). My advice is to READ THE MANUAL and grow up.
