DirecTV Inc Complaint - Bad Installation - Dish Fell Off House And They Try Charge Me To Fix It
FLORIDA -- I was thinking of renewing my Direct TV contract from 1999 but after reading all this it reminded me how mad I am at them and why I canceled in the first place. So now I can finally tell what happen to me. I had purchase Direct TV after buying a new house, the Installer put the dish on the side of my aluminum porch not on the house itself, and after 2 months the signal started not working.
I called them and ask them about it, they where going to charge $99 to have a guy come look at it, well I said forget it, maybe it fix itself 3 months later, it didn't fix itself so I decided to have a look on it.
I notice the guy put a bracket on my porch roof and it weight of the dish the aluminum side could not support and bent down, so I called them and they told me I had to pay for entire new installation , So I put a brick under it instead that gave me trouble every month I needed to climb up there and move the dish by hand to get a signal finally the bracket broke free and it came crashing down.
I called them again they where going to charge me over $300 to fix there mistake, I only had a year contract I think.
But I fixed it my self again and when the contract end I canceled them, they did not try keep me, or anything, they just fine and hung up on me. They more worried about money then customer service. I never went back to them but till this day they still send me letters and offers.
