Wal-Mart Complaint - RCA TV
HARRISBURG, ALASKA -- We bought a 52 inch wide screen about four years ago and bought a extended warranty with it through Wal-mart stores. On Sept 23, 2008 it stopped working and would not turn on. I called the warranty place that was on the card. The place was called Wal-mart product care warranty I believe. They said my TV was still covered I said great. They said they will call back with a service center for me to call or they will make me a appointment. Which they did, the service center came and looked at my TV and got the part number they needed to order to fix I said this is cool. A week went by no call from the service center I called there they said they can't find the part. They also said that there was another consumer with the same TV and they couldn't find the part for their TV either so the warranty company gave her a new TV.
I called the warranty company they said they have access to parts that companies don't have call back in 3 to 5 days this is October 13, 2008. We will get the part. I called back in three to five days October 17, 2008 they now need the serial number of the TV, then after giving them the serial number call back in 3 to five days. Called back October 20, they cant find part. Will buy out your warranty they said call back in 3 to 5 days. October 23 call back buy out was denied due to the fact some one gave me bad info it takes 3 to 9 days. Have to wait the whole nine days. By this time I'm frustrated and asked to speak to supervisor after supervisor all say I'm sorry call back in 3 to 5 days. Finally today is October 31, 2008 they said things have escalated so much because I'm pissed. They will buy me out and send check in 7 to ten days. Do not buy a Walmart warranty.
