Huston Motors Complaint - Using Ebay To Move Unsellable Boat By Misrepresenting Condition Of Boat Online

Review by hadenoughoflowlifes on 2008-10-31
LAKE WALES, FLORIDA -- Message: I received a boat that I imported from Huston Motors at Lake Wales in Florida in significantly
different condition to that stated, two main issues, overheating damage to engine and sun/uv damage to upolstery, the seller was completely deceptive of the true condition of the boat!I will be significantly disadvantaged both in time and cost to rectify the boat. Obviously there are significant risks involved in international buying, however I believe I was cautious to say the least and the seller took steps to deliberately conceal the condition of the boat.

The bizarre thing is the high eBay feedback score which in this case is not an accurate representation of their conduct, something went wrong in
this case!! I would urge anybody dealing with Huston Motors to exercise caution, not believe what you are told and independently check everything before dealing with them.
Company Response on 12/05/2008:
The man that puchased this boat is not telling the complete story. The boat was serviced completely before it was delivered. Note: Customer states boat "had" an Over Heating Problem. It did not when it was delivered. As to the Upholstery the boat was 4 years old that he bought. It was in fine condition for its age with out any nicks or cuts. If this customer had wanted a Brand new boat he should have paid for one. He purchased a very inexpensive boat. Huston Motors is a Very Reputable Company.
