Verison Wireless Complaint - Ripping people off

IOWA -- My checking account was charged for an account that was opened on Verizon Wireless. I did not authorize this charge nor did I open this account. After numerous attempts to get this matter taken care of through Verizon Customer Service(yeah right service) I am still being told by Verizon that unless I can tell them the account number that was opened there is nothing they can do for me. Unfortunately for me they are a big business and they can knowingly steal money for us and get away with it and there is nothing we can do.

hmmm....perhaps an unscrupulous relative got into your personal information while visiting over the holidays??? Whatever the case, it seems to me your argument is with your bank, where your checking account is. Verizon is not responsible for your checking account. Although, it does seem to me that Verizon would have the number of the account in question....since....duh....THEY opened it...
