American Express Complaint - Credit Cards Canceled - No Notice
TRABUCO CANYON, CALIFORNIA -- I have been a member of AMEX since 1986.
Saturday, my 2 cards were active, usable, and paid up to date.
Sunday, I tried using 1 of my cards and it was declined.
When I called AMEX, I spoke to a rude representative who told me my account was canceled. She said they had run my credit report and something negative was on it.
I use a credit monitoring company and no negative items have been posted on my account at all. Further I do not even see where AMEX even did a credit inquiry.
My other card is an Optima. That was canceled as well. I have not even used this card for over 1 year, certainly have no past due.
AMEX is unbelievable.
My accounts have been with them since 1986.
Just canceling my card with NO notice, No logical reason is the most unprofessional way of doing business I have ever seen.
The rudeness of their employee was also just plain unbelievable.
I went on my online account and say that my 247,000 in points is not gone as well.
I will be happy to enter into any class action lawsuits anyone wants to file against AMEX.
