Travelocity Complaint - Overcharged!!!
After searching online for the best fare on 2 international plane tickets for my family, I purchased the tickets from Travelocity. The total fare, including taxes and fees, increased by $500 after I completed the online purchase. My credit card was charged $500 more than the price I agreed to at the time of purchase. I spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with 2 different customer service representatives.
At the beginning of the call, the customer service representative were trying obtain proof of how much my credit card was billed. The representative even called my bank to confirm that I was overbilled. Suddenly, the representative determined that although I was charged almost $500 more, the charges were correct. What?!? I agree to one price and they increase it by $248 per ticket days later.
Don't bother using this service. I have used priceline in the past for hotels, and I should have stayed with a company that I know provides good service.
I am going to dispute the overcharge with my credit card company, but this has all been a hassle and a waste of time and money.
