Hughes Satellite Internet Complaint - High Price And Small Daily Download Allowance!

Review by ChoppedSuey on 2008-11-11
THOMASTON, GEORGIA -- Hughes satellite internet has good speed, as long as you don't go over your daily allowance of downloads. In my plan, the pro plan, I am allowed only 200 mb a day of downloads, and then they shut down your service speed to a crawl.

I have multiple updates to do on my computer, which total about a gig (1000mb) of downloading. This will take me five days, and, at the end of each day, I will not be able to use the internet anymore.

Here is the good news! Anything you download between 3am and 6am does not go against your daily download allowance. Riiiiight. Who the h3ll is up between 3am and 6am.

So basically I pay over double what a standard DSL or Cable service would cost, which would also come with unlimited access, for a sub par internet service. Not to mention the 300 dollars for the equipment. Thanks for nothing Hughes!
