Called Circuit City where I bought my TV and extended service warranty and was connected to GE (who apparently service the agreements).
Much to my surprise, my 3 year service contract expired 7 days ago!
No problem, they said .... would you like to renew?
Yes, I would .... they transfer to Jeff #617739 in sales. Who also said "great" ....
But then the wheels fell off and they decided that I could not renew the contract. But since I was not happy, I should speak to customer service.
THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST PLAIN RUDE Here's the quote:
Samantha #671036 "I am the case manager. I am the person in charge and you can't speak to anyone else"
This went on for quite some time. Thankfully I have plenty of time these days. Finally, she said (not kidding) "I will put you on hold and maybe someone else will pick up".
Enter Marquita #L675419 who was not rude, but not able to help. She at least said I could leave a message for a supervisor.
Now it is evident the runaround is in play ....
Sales says you have to speak to Customer Service for help, Customer Service says they can't help you!
I did get a supervisor, Sharon, who was polite and seemed knowledgeable, but she would only get on the phone with Sales with me if I placed the call. Then she told me she could not tie up the line.
Oh, and DelRay #99092 in Sales said I had to call back the next day, but that I would get the same answers (back to the rude people) ... the supervisors had all gone home. I wonder if they get to watch TV.
So I'll be using my Eco-imagination wondering what the new cast of Top Chef (Bravo program -- a GE owned network)looks like tonight and lots of other nights. And no, I won't be buying those GE Monogram appliances when I renovate my kitchen. Nor will I look to Fairfield for a mortgage or other type of financing should the need arise.
I just hope I am never in the market for a jet engine or an MRI ....
