Westchester Toyota Complaint - They Are Thieves - Car

Review by abar on 2008-11-13
Westchester Toyota, is one of the worst dealership I have ever been. In 2000, I went there with a brand new Dodge mini van and asked to trade in, I was asked to pay $5000.00 because Toyota is expensive then Dodge. Which I did, I thought I have read everything until a year later that I found out that the car was lease not bought.

They are thieves. This is sad.

Sounds like somebody better read and understand the paperwork before they sign their name.

No, what's sad is you signed whatever they stuck in front of you without reading it. It's an expensive lesson, but don't sign it if you don't understand it. And if you don't understand it, get the advise of someone you trust. Good luck.

Seriously, if you cannot read your paperwork and understand enough to know the difference between a sale and a lease, you need to bring someone with you when you shop.

None of this makes sense. First off, this all happened 7 years ago and your complaining about it now. Secondly, why were you trading in a "brand new" car? Third, you say you read everything but didn't know it was a leased car. You obviously read nothing. And how can you trade in a brand new car that is leased? I don't think that is even possible.

I never signed any paper work! That's the thing. When we sat down and discussed numbers, I changed my mind. NO CONTRACT hence.. this is why they are con artists
