Culver's Compliment - Surprisingly Good Food

Review by S on 2008-11-13
MICHIGAN -- Culver's Mushroom and Swish BurgerReading the latest McDonald's review reminded me of my first Culver's experience last week. My wife and I with newborn in tote hit the local Culver's for the first time. I tried the Mushroom and Swiss Butterburger with fries.

The burger came wrapped up nice and very hot. The mushrooms were cooked and season with garlic, and the entire taste was really very good. I don't think there were any other condiments on the burger besides the mushrooms and cheese, but it was extremely flavorful.

My first thought was anything that is called a "Butterburger" can't be good for you... Well my wife did a little research and found they are actually not the greatest in regards to being healthy... =) I think the numbers were around 60% of your daily fat and cholesterol, but you get 45 grams of protein in this sucker... Sounds good to me!

The fries were crinkle cut, not too salty and very good.

Definitely worth checking out if you have one in your area.

They have on in Evansville, maybe we'll stop in the next time we're up there! That burger sounds delicious!

How's the baby doing?

Baby is very good thanks! She just turned 3 weeks old a few days back. She is an angel and has already taken over as head of the house... =)

Crinkle cut are my favorite! I prefer my 'shrooms as a tea though. J/K! Never heard of Culvers. Is it fast food?

LOL! The same thing happened when our kids were born. They became the kings of this castle, and don't try to tell them otherwise. :)
Congratulations!! It gets even better when they grow up. Just when you think they can't get any cuter, they get their own little personality and, it's just so cute.

C2O, I like waffle fries. Nice and salty with ketchup. Hubby likes shoe strings with honey mustard.

I wish I could find a place that sells waffle fries. Yummy!

I know that Chick-fil-a has waffle fries. I think Arby's might too. It's been a long time since I've been to either one.
I like those crinkle cuts real crispy with lots of salt and an ice cold beer. I may have to fire up the fryer tonight! lol!
