Rosebud Doll Hospital Vineland New Jersey Complaint - Did You Send A Doll And Never Get It Back?
VINELAND, NEW JERSEY -- I am writing this so that it may help others get their property back from Rosebud doll hospital in Vineland New Jersey. In August 2007, I sent a doll off to be repaired. I corresponded via email with the lady performing the repair. When 6 months had elapsed, I repeatedly emailed the doll hosptial and got no response. I finally retrieved the phone number and address and called. I found out the lady had had a stroke and was asked by her husband to give him time to handle the situation. I waited another 6 months and called. He said he knew nothing about dolls and couldn't help return my doll. I sent him photographs in the mail and I called after he received them. He said he couldn't find my doll.
I asked if I could come look for it myself in the workshop and he informed me the workshop was now a storage room. I called back a few months later (now 1 year 3 months after I sent the doll)and went through the entire episode with him again. I begged him to let me come look through the dolls and find mine. He said ok, but required I call him 2 days before the agreed date. I drove from Mass to NJ and on the way, I called him. He tried to cancel the appointment and said that he was afraid I'd be there too long or that I wouldn't find his apartment and would be late. I swore to him that I would be on time and would not take up more than 10 minutes of his time. When I arrived, he had a box of dolls/doll parts in disarray at his door. I quickly retrieved my doll and ran out.
I feel very badly that I saw at least 15-20 other dolls there that other people must be also dying to get back. It is very clear that the woman is now totally incapacitated and that her husband is totally disinterested in helping to return these dolls. If someone needs to know how I managed to get mine back and contact details, I'd be happy to share the information. You WILL have to personally visit Vineland, NJ to retrieve your property.
