Crystal Lake Travel Agency (Crystal Lake, IL) Complaint - Honeymoon Vacation
BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA -- In filing the claim with Crystal Lake Travel Agency, and Travel Guard I only was compensated for about $450.00 from only Travel Guard Insurance, which doesn't cover my airline tickets, honeymoon trip, grief, staying overnight in an airport on metal chairs for 18 hours. Since you guys wouldn't give us a hotel. Lost luggage, broken luggage materials, and many travel delays which I have reiterated about in my email. My honeymoon plan by [snip] thought was a joke (a supposedly professional travel planner). It actually took a couple weeks in which I found out [snip] finally noticed that we were serious about the trips. Her flight itinerary from Ecuador to the Costa Rica wasn't enough time for an international flight in which I had mentioned to her!!! She hadn't correctly booked us on the earlier flight to Costa Rica in which we had planned. This is not the airports fault, or for Travel Guard to correct, or our fault the fault is due to incorrect booking by the Crystal Lake Travel Agency.
What did you guys do to correct the issue? Nothing! In fact, we had to pay $1400.00 for new tickets to fly to Bogota Columbia to Costa Rica, not too mention the other money on top of that we paid originally from Ecuador to San Jose, Costa Rica. Plus the money back for the cancellations for the Tamarindo Diria and the hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica. Plus the extra days we had to stay in San Jose for meals, and hotel stay. The car I asked for was an automatic, and she booked me a manual transmission. If I don't here from you soon I will have to take further action with Travel Guard and your company.
With this letter sent to Crystal Lake Travel Agency they didn't assure me, or help me in any shape, or form.
A honeymoon vacation is a very personal and special life experience. Especially for us fresh new newlyweds. You guys really need to take care of your guests better if you want to keep a business going! I have never seen such poor information negligence when your agents are suppose to be specialist in this field. I am truly dissatisfied and disgusted with you how you handled our honeymoon! Unfortunately, I will have to remember this honeymoon for the rest of my life now, and I want something done about it!!! Or else. Those were my words with the company. They acknowledge the fact that I would post these complaints by email. We came back from our trip the beginning of July and it is now November 19th and we have yet to hear anything solid about this ordeal! This is truly the poorest guest service I have ever received!I want all of our money back we paid you for the trip because we are totally dissatisfied.
This was the main letter I had sent to Crystal Lake Travel. I just wanted to let the public know how this travel agency treats consumers so that when you are in a foreign country, or in the U.S. that you don't get duped like we did on our honeymoon.
This travel agency SUCKS..... I also don't recommend this company to anyone...
