Lane Bryant Complaint - Bad Order Experience
ONLINE -- I recently placed an online order for lingerie from LaneBryant.com. I had also placed an order the same day to NewYorkandCompany.
I started to get concerned about my LB order when my NY&C order arrived a week later. I checked on the status of my LB order and it said 'processing'. I found an online review where another lady had the same problem and tried some of the things she did to resolve her problem. The 1-800 number was an answering machine and no one called me back. The email contact on the website didn't help either. I didn't even get a response that my question had been received.
Two days later, I get a 14 letters from LB saying my shipment was out of stock and wouldn't ship until 3 months after I placed my order. It directed me back to the 1-800 number, so I called again the following Monday. I finally received a live person and said I wanted to cancel my order. I was told it had already shipped and I could return it if I didn't want it. When I mentioned the letters, I was told it was a system error where the wrong letters were being sent to customers. They should have said my order had been filled and had been shipped.
How hard could it have been to send out a mass email saying the wrong letters had been sent? How hard was it to answer the phone or reply to an email that was sent before the letters arrived?
I finally received my order, but not until I'd already been to the store to purchase the same things that supposedly were out of stock for 3 months.
Fortunately, Victoria's carries DD sizes now, so my business will be going to them now and I haven't purchased clothes from LB since I lost 100 pounds last year.
