MGM Grand Hotel Compliment - Great Value, Nice Place

Review by hubbard53 on 2008-11-21
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- The wife bought me tickets to Jimmy Buffet and airfare to las vegas for my birthday in October. I was responsible for hotel so I did some research. . .

The only other time I was in Vegas, I stayed at Venetian. Awesome place but too pricey for a weekend getaway. So I found MGM Grande and book a package for that was $220 first night, $89 second night and included a $20 food credit, 2 free cocktails, and complimentary in-room breakfast for two.

I'm skeptical so wasn't expecting much from the free stuff and cheap rates. Check-in guy told me to just bill stuff to the room and it would be comp'd accordingly. That's scary.

Wasn't expecting much from the room but it was nice! Mirrored walls through which a TV in living area was available. And a smaller TV in the large glass and tile bathroom. It wasn't a huge room but it was very comfortable and well decorated.

So we enjoyed the concert, enjoyed the Vegas Strip. Had two cosmos in the MGM Red Zone bar, had three appetizers in the sushi bar, and had breakfast in the room Monday morning before we checked out. Billed it all to the room.

So I get my final bill... expecting the worse. Nope! Total was approximately $325 - everything was comp'd accordingly. It was the perfect ending to a great weekend in a top notch hotel.

My wife and I have stayed here in the past. It is nice. My only gripe was the size. The place is enormous. You can get lost easily, and very tired walking around just this hotel alone.

they're all huge. I got lost in the Venetian :0

Many companies should take lessons on service from the Vegas hotels. They treat the customer right and everything promised is delivered or fixed very quickly...

the Wynn is a great place to stay as well. It's pricey but well worth it.

Im glad it's Friday....everyone go home early, crack a few hundred beers and listen to Bad Religion at ear piercing decibles.......what a great way to start the weekend
Posted by Principissa on 2008-11-21:
Hey, I've been doing that all day, except replace bad religion with the Damned. My youngest son loves Eloise. And replace going home early with scrubbing the wall molding with a toothbrush and shampooing the carpets.
