MakeMyTrip.com Inc Complaint - Fraud Alert, Customer Service, Ticket Prices - Travel, Airline Tickets

Travel, Airline Tickets - Complaint
Review by roop on 2008-11-23
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- Please refrain from buying airline tickets from Makemytrip.com. They lure you with lower prices and then for days keep on saying that the ticket will be issued in 1 hour and after 72 hours inform that they cannot deliver the tickets at the price that they confirmed while taking credit card/driver's license/passport information. Moreover since they charge in rupees so a 3% currency transaction fee is charged by the credit cards. They are dishonest and unprofessional. They take your personal information and may misuse them for criminal activities. Do not give your passport / driver's license information.

I wonder why nobody is taking any action against them. There should be a class-action suit against them and they should be banned from doing business in any of the first world countries where customer satisfaction is of utmost importance.

Your first clue was it is a company in India. Your class action law suit will do nothing here as they are not subject to American law.

Stop being an easy mark. Use your intelligence next time. Book travel directly with airlines and hotels.

Online they only book flights that originate on weekends. I've never seen an booking online agent that doesn't offer to book flights on weekdays. And if you can't afford the fare they offer financing through HSBC. That's something I've never seen. Maybe it's normal for India. Who knows? Anyway, here's is their NY office info:
