Fox Rent A Car Complaint - Bad Communication / Poor Customer Service
SAN DIEGO, COLORADO -- I rented a vehicle from Fox rent a car is San Diego, I also rented a GPS device from them. The car rental portion was fine except for the agent at the desk had very poor communication with me about the rental agreement. I received the key and the GPS device and eventually drove off the lot. When I brought the car back, the GPS was still plugged into the cigarette lighter. The lot attendant asked for the rental agreement, then looked over the car, and handed the agreement back for me to take inside to the front desk.
When I went inside to complete the rental service, I was the only customer there and the agent at the desk did not greet or even acknowledge me until I spoke up and said " I'm here to return a car". He was very quiet and seemed to be put out to have to do his job. Upon completion of the agreement, I was not asked about the GPS which I thought would be fine left in the car (which is now back in the possession of the rental company). A few hours later I received a voice mail from the lot saying that the case for the GPS was found but the device it self was lost. Before I got back in touch with them, I realized that I was charged $495.00 for a device that was lost AFTER I returned the vehicle. BUYER BEWARE!!!
This company has a VERY SHADY system working here. When I tried to contact someone in charge, the person who was supposed to be in charge, then, re-connected me with the lot manager who said he would look in the lost and found again. He then told me that I am responsible for everything lost. By the amount of negative reviews that I have found on this site and a couple others, I'm beginning to wonder if there has been a class action suit brought against this company.
