Spokane Washington Volvo Complaint - Lousy Customer Service

Review by tomosans on 2008-11-26
SPOKANE, WASHINGTON -- Drove 5 hours each way, to get my Volvo serviced. Made an appt. Had to stay overnight. Had to rent a car (they had no loaners). They charged me $3133.00 for a new steering box, which they installed. And for a fuel pump, which they were to send to me. When I picked up my car it was still filthy with mud from the 5-hr drive. It had a light out, which the service man, David, tried to fix by banging on the light!! The fuel pump, now 13 days later, has still not arrived. When I called, I found the fuel pump had been sent to THEM. And, I'm still experiencing braking problems. What a bunch of losers. This is my 4th Volvo, and I've loved every one of them, and have pampered them to death. This dealership is big-time lazy, and Volvo is NOT making the same great product it used to make. Stuff's falling apart much sooner than it should. Between August 11 (51180 miles) and November 11 (56909 miles), I've spent $5,301 on an '03 XC90. If I'd ever had this much trouble with previous vehicles, I would have NEVER bought another. And I will never buy another Volvo.

And God help me if I ever have to deal with Spokane again. Just real half-#$% work, a "whatever" attitude, and $3133 in this economy is a lot of money to me. Especially since the problem didn't get fixed.

what has a steering box and fuel pump have to do with brakes?

ya, when did you have them work on the brakes?

fixing a car is always a hassle and having to drive somewhere and stay onvernite makes it worse. I think that has more to do with your issues than the car. Owning a foreign car in a mkt with few specilaty dealers doesn't make it very easy. I have a s70 and a water pump is a $750 repair so the $$ amount doesn't mean much if the 60K service could be $8-900
