Garmin Informative - Garmin vs Magellan - legend HC

LAPINE, OREGON -- I purchased an Magellan Explorist 500LE last year. I also bought the Topo software. The software wouldn't work with my Vista computer. I downloaded an update that fixed that, I made the mistake of loading the Topo onto a magellan 210 that I had just bought first before I realized that it would only work on 1 GPS. To make a long story short I bought a Garmin Venture HC for the same price I paid for the 500LE. I had an older mapsend Roads & Rec software I loaded onto the Venture, no problem. The 500LE eats batteries The HC doesn't. I had $228 in the 500LE and Topo map I tried to sell a package: 500LE and Topo map for $100 and new 210 (I paid over $100 for) free, no takers. I'll never buy a Magellan again!
