General Motors Compliment - Loyal Repeat Owner Discusses Quality Of Cars
DELAWARE, OHIO -- I drive a 2006 GMC Canyon, my wife drives a 2007 Buick Rendevous, my son drives a 2005 GMC Canyon. Of all these vehicles, only the Buick had very minor warranty work done (broken hatchback strap) and was repaired to our complete satisfaction. Other than oil changes and tire rotations, there has been no repairs necessary to theses vehicles.
In the past, I had a 2001 GMC Sonoma which had a few minor warranty repairs taken care of to my complete satisfaction. After driving this truck 4 years, I noticed very small cracks in the paint on the hood. For curiosity, I went to the dealership service department, where they without question offered to repair the truck. I was surprised at such willingness to make it right. After 3 days, the dealer called, asking to keep the truck a few more days as they had found more of those little cracks in other areas of the truck. When I got the truck back, it looked better than the day I bought it... all completely free of charge!
As a side note, my wife leased a 2003 Toyota Rav-4 right off the showroom floor. After completing the necessary paperwork, the salesman went to move the car from the showroom........it wouldn't start!! Flooded!! It had to be pushed from the showroom floor to the service dept.
I WILL be buying GM when the time comes.
