Cadillac Informative - Cadillac Deville - Accountability
Accountability
Review by fixit14 on 2008-12-08
Having just purchased my first Cadillac (and GM product) I now understand why GM needs a "bail out". One would expect quality engineering and quality control as well as customer service(almost non-existent). Every malfunction with the vehicle is referred to as a "characteristic of the vehicle" and "with in tolerances" as dictated by the engineers/designers. GM vehicles are so well constructed and designed that I will never be saddled with another one.
I no longer wonder why the foreign auto makers "own" such a large percentage of the American auto industry. I am referring specifically to the Northstar engine which has a "characteristic engine tic" ( read piston slap) and a high oil consumption rate, all in less than 65,000 miles.
So, no thank you GM, until you can build a more reliable vehicle with fewer "characteristic problems"
