DirecTV Inc Complaint - Installation Disaster
EVERETT, WASHINGTON -- Direct TV caused significant damage to our homes siding by drilling holes in the siding, screwing bundles of black coax wire to afix to the siding with hundreds of screws, mounted and remounted in two separate places a dish obstructing window view, without any permission from myself, the home owner. The Direct TV that was installed on 4 of the 5 TV's that we had hooked up do not work properly and need two to three different remotes to turn on, change channel or volume. I've had to call general contractors out for estimates, I had to have an electrician come out and fix our power because of the faulty installation done. I was even told by Direct TV's Quality Control lead that it was a bad install and would have to be re-done and was promised a senior tech would be out on a certain date to fix all the problems, but never showed up or called. I contacted Direct TV after a week of not hearing from anybody and was told a service request was never entered. At this point, I have cancelled my service with Direct TV and am having to go through their damage claims office in another state to try and get damage resolved.
The icing on the cake happened this morning when I rec'd an email from direct TV, saying that I owe them an early termination fee of $500.00 and their supervisor telling me that if I do not pay this they will ruin my credit. How on earth can a major company like this stay in business??
