DirecTV Inc Complaint - Failure To Return Or Credit Over Payments
CARVER, MASSACHUSETTS -- Direct TV does a really slick selling job after you have signed up to get you to apply for auto pay through their collection agent Barclay's Bank card. Two months into their program my normal monthly payments for services were made to Direct TV directly. At the same time Direct TV was submitting the same bill to the Barclay's credit card account.
After many, many nasty collection calls from Barclay's who refused to void; credit or otherwise address the over charges, I had to pay them to avoid them submitting my account for a bad credit rating. Their line was that I had charged the services and must for pay it. They kept telling me if any adjustment was to be made that Direct TV would have to make the adjustment to my account.
All this time Direct TV also adamantly refused to address the over charges or credit my account.
The bottom line is that Direct TV has been double paid, first by me and, also by the credit card bank. That is consumer FRAUD. I am in Massachusetts. The amount defrauded me by Direct TV represents a felony.
They refuse to respond to my e-mails. They have repeatedly refused to issue credit to my account.
I am VERY disappointed with Direct TV. I CAUTION anyone who has subscribed to their service NOT to fall victim to their slick and fraudulent auto pay program through the credit card.
