Time Warner Informative - Customer Service
VENICE, CALIFORNIA -- Possibly the worst experience I have ever had with any company. After ordering cable service the installer did not show for 2 appointments both of which had few hour windows. The 3rd appt he showed up. A few weeks later I called to have phone service installed and a 2nd cable box. They brought the wrong box so we made an appointment for them to bring the correct box the following day. He did not show up. I called to cancel service and was convinced to give it another try. The person I spoke with said he would personally follow up with the technician to make certain he arrived on time. He also gave me his extension so I could call back and speak with him directly.
The technician did not show up. I called to speak with the gentleman from the day earlier and was told there is not way to be transferred to an extension. Apparently he lied to me about getting him back on the phone.
I then called to speak with a supervisor. After being bounced around for hours, literally, the supervisor I finally got on the phone put me on hold at which time I was transferred back to a standard customer service agent.
I was told not to use Time Warner and was warned about their terrible customer service. I chose them anyway because they supposedly have the fastest internet connection. Since having the service, I would say it is fast but it also goes down everyday. In fact it is down right now and I am using my Verizon wireless card. Additionally the DVR for my cable TV is outrageously crappy. I had DirecTV TV before and am going back.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TIME WARNER.
