Welch's Used Appliance Sales Compliment - Really Nice People To Do Business With

Review by CrystalSword on 2008-12-12
OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON -- I guess over the last weekend or so the compressor in the freezer we had bought in November 2008 went out, and we lost some groceries...not a lot, basically the bottom shelf of the freezer. I didn't notice till I went to pull frozen bread dough out of the bottom of the freezer only to find it thawed and well risen in the bag!

Welch's Bargain Center is the used appliance store we bought the freezer from, located at 2701 Martin Way E., Olympia, WA. I called them at 5:00 in the afternoon, they were just closing,
but at 9:00 the following morning they called and had a truck on the way with a loaner freezer
and they would pick up ours.

The night before I had taken the frozen stuff to two friend's homes and loaded their freezers, I still have to go get everything...have to do so when they are home of course.

The loaner freezer is a little smaller than the one we bought, but for two people it will be fine. Welch's called this morning and informed me that it was the compressor than went out and that #1. they would order a new compressor and we could have that freezer back...or...#2. we could keep the loaner, with the same one year warranty, and in addition, receive a $75.00 in store credit.

I went ahead and took option #2....we'll be needing another washer in the not too distant future anyhow.

These have been the nicest people to do business with...and they were recommended by our friend, Holly. Keep up the good work Welch's!!

That's what happens when you deal with local businesses, you build a relationship.

Buy locally as JKT stated and I really think most individuals won't be disappointed in the long run. I purchase from a locally owned business if at all possible and have never been displeased. They have a reputation to keep and know you will recommend them to someone else, just as you did Crystal. The few extra dollars you spend upfront is well worth it.
