DirecTV Complaint - DirecTV Customer Service Really Sucks!
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA -- I am a fairly new customer of DirecTV. We signed on in late August 2008. I came as a bundle on our phone bill. Boy am I sorry that I started the service. It has been a nightmare since day one. We recently had major ID theft and lost 3 houses and additional funds in excess or $3 million dollars.
We have been trying to recover but it is slow and hard in these difficult times.
Our first bill from DirecTV showed that we owed over $300 as a prior balance due!! How could we if we never had the service before. To install our service it took 5 visits from the installers before we started getting the service right. It has finally take them until recently to get the bill right, well almost. We have been making payments but with some of our other utility bills carried over from our other houses, it turned out to be in excess of $3000. We have been making payments to everyone, and in November we did make an arrangement with DirecTV to be late a few days with one of the payments.
Here it is now December 12 and I noticed that a payment of $252 is due on Dec. 19. we then will have a balance of $194 due. Because the 19th. falls between pay periods, I called to see if I could have until Dec. 26 to pay the $252 and make the next payment of $ 194 on Jan. 9, 2009. After all I am only asking for a 7 day extension!! With all of the bills coming in as we all have, the old paycheck only goes so far!! 7 days is not to much to ask!!!!!
Well my request falls on deaf ears!!! Their robotic customer service representative and her supervisor would only spout out that their policy only allows for 1 extension every 6 months. Regardless of the circumstances!!! According the them, not even the President of the Company can change this regardless of the situation!!! BULL S_ _ T!!!!!!
I felt as if I were talking to a robot!!!!! Or a computer!!! They really train their personnel well don’t they? I asked for another manager and after waiting for over 45 minutes I was told that none were available.
I was told to write a letter to “Billing Disputes in Colorado!!! My answer to them was: By the time they get it will be after Dev. 26 and the date that I was asking for in my request. I then asked for the name and contact of the President of the Company and was told that they could not give that information out!!!!!!! What a bunch of crap!!!
I Never had these problems with DISH Network!!!!!!!
I am almost to the point of canceling DirecTV and going back to Dish Network. I told them this and I could really tell by the tone of their voices that really cared!!!!!
