Bank of America Complaint - Outrageous Return Item Fees
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- Bank of America is as crooked as any street thief. They place an outrageous $35.00 fee each time there is an overdraft on one's account. Even if the overdraft is. 10 cents, they will charge you $35.00. They give some reversals from time to time, but the fact that they continue to charge such a high amount is only creating more problems to their clients. This bank does not care at all about their clients. Even when you wish to close or block your account, so that this won't happen anymore, they refuse to help until they are paid.
About two months ago, I stop using my account for a while and left a small amount in the account just until I decided if I would leave the account open or not. In the time that I stopped checking my account, the bank charged me over $400.00 in fees, as I had forgotten about some automatic debits from the gym and other small amounts from a couple merchants. Still, BofA not only did not pay the amounts (all under $35), but instead continued charging me each time. After 9 times, they have a good amount that they hope to get out of me.
They didn't do any service. They didn't pay the amounts due, they didn't notify about these fees, and now they hope to get paid for doing nothing. Well, they'll wait a while for that to happen. How's hell freezing work over for them?
