Sprint Nextel Complaint - Poor Online Billing
ILLINOIS -- Ok here is my complaint. I have cancelled my account with Nextel to go to Verizon for other reasons. When I did this I knew I would have to pay for the month of usage I had used. I diligently looked at my account online, The whole time it showed a balance of $0.00. I therefore assumed there was nothing owed on my account at that time. finally I see a balance of $106.**, Ok good now I know how much to finally pay. But I get a bill in the mail from Nextel advising I owed $230.** and my account was suspended due to late payment. I cancelled my account on 11-6 and I received this notice on 12-3. I called them and thought I worked it out. Apparently I missed a payment 4 months ago and now they tell me about it. The lady I spoke really was helpful, she prorated my bill and told me that I could make payments on it to avoid collection. Thank goodness. Today however I get a notice of intent to send me to a collection agency for not paying it in full. I called Nextel, at this point I am furious, and explain what was said on the 3rd. She looks it up and has nothing noted about making payments.
I then proceed to tell her that the website still shows a balance of $106.** and if they want their customers to be up to date then they need to update their online billing so stuff like this won't happen. In the end the only help she could provide was to pay my bill in full before they send it to collection.
