Cingular/AT&T Complaint - The Cingular AT&T Scam

Review by fastlap on 2008-12-16
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- Cingular wireless purchased AT&T wireless in 2004, within weeks Cingular sent notices to AT&T customers that they needed to switch to the Cingular network because Cingular was shutting down the AT&T network.

Wanting phone service, I switch to the Cingular network. Within weeks I started to have dropped calls, and soon it was dropped call every day. After that I could not get call out as well.

Cingular was very nice, it was an easy fix. When that did not work, I must have dropped my phone. Next it was because I had purchased an entry phone, I informed Cingular that I had the same phone with AT&T with no issues.

Within two months the service was so unusable that I had to carry a pocket full of quarters to make calls. By now I had been complaining so mush that Cingular told me that my phone was for recreational propose only and that I should not expect to be able to use it any time that I wanted. On another complaint Cingular stated that "we don't have to provide you any real quality of service"

I had great service with the old AT&T, I had garbage with Cingular wireless. I gave Cingular 24 hours to correct the bad service, they did not
so I fired Cingular.

I would not pay Cingular for the garbage service that I was receiving, I think that they had all ready stolen enough of my money. Now after Four years these pieces of garbage still want my money.

Do not use this company for anything. They should be in jail for the criminal activities they engage in by stealing consumers money.

I'm doing just fine without a cell phone. You should try that, then you never have a dropped call.

I had the same crappy service you had from Cingular. I have Verizon now, and they are no where near perfect but I find that the customer service is more tolerable and I have maybe one or two dropped calls per month. Good for you for firing Cingular. Hopefully you were not in a contract any longer. The ETF's can be harsh.
