DirecTV Informative - Say No To DirecTV - Returned DVRS
SOUTHERN, MARYLAND -- I DON'T KNOW WHAT ANYBODY SEES IN DIRECTV… BUT.. THEY CAN HAVE THEM. I don't suggest anyone to purchase DirecTV. Stay with cable. DirecTV is too expensive, they are not consistent, they have poor Customer Service, and the steal. Let me tell you the story. I cancelled my service in October. They were supposed to send me return boxes for the receivers. They were supposed to get to my house in 2-3 days. They never showed. So, I called DirecTV about it. They said that they would send another shipment of boxes. The Rep. never verified my home address. Needless to say, I did not receive that shipment neither. Meanwhile, they sent me a bill. I called them to ask them about the bill and again tell them that I have not received the boxes. November 22, they took $188.00 from my checking account via debit card. Can you believe them? I called them fussing. They said, "You didn't return the boxes". I told them the issue, "DirecTV has not sent the return boxes". “Furthermore, I don't want them receivers, I cannot do anything with them receiver, I want them receivers out of my house. Where should I take them?” DirecTV said "You have to use the return boxes". Now...., Again DirecTV has not sent the boxes.
So, finally I say what did the courier say about the shipment? The representative tells me that "you refused delivery". I immediately say, they are lying, they did not make any attempts to send the shipment. So, then I say "what address are you sending it to"? The DirecTV Rep. gave me some odd address, different from my address. She said you moved and did not give us your new address. I went off again, that is not my address, I don't know where that address is, I don’t know where you got that address, I did not give DirecTV that address, and furthermore I have not moved. As a matter of fact, I recall some strange address on my account of which I called several times about. It is not
my job to keep DirecTV account addresses, all I can do is call. To make a long story short. The Rep. tells me that she needs to email forward my request to the Finance Office. I ask if I can call the Finance Department. The answer was “NO”. I ask if I can email the Finance Department. The answer was “NO”.
Enough, NEVER AGAIN, it is December 17, Holiday time of the year and I am out of $188.00 of which I did not budget for. UNBELIEVABLE!! If you have DirecTV do not gave them access to your checking account via debit card. As a matter of fact, cancel, just DON’T GET DIRECTV. A waste of money and a 2 year contract.
And, to think my neighbors told me not to get DirecTV. I should have listened.
