Target Complaint - Ridiculous Shipping Policies
My husband and I recently received a futon from Target as a wedding present. Unfortunately several days after receiving and assembling the frame the mattress still had not arrived. Now instead of assuring us the mattress would arrive shortly we are told it isn't coming. When we ask when they will ship another one they advise us that they are unable to ship a mattress separate from the frame (although they have no problem sending the frame on its own). They advise us to mail back the frame and then they will send us another one with the mattress. We explain to them that the futon is assembled and sitting in our office waiting for the mattress and the boxes have been long discarded. Since they refuse to ship a mattress on its own, we convince them that the next best option would be for them to send everything and we'll just refuse to accept the frame.
I get a knock on the door this afternoon and it's UPS here to pick up the futon. Of course what else should I expect from Target?
