Sears Informative - I Grew Up With Kenmore, Even 10 Years Ago It Was A Good Product
FAIR OAKS, CALIFORNIA -- My wife an I decided to get new appliances, we went to Sears and bought a refrig with freezer below, a stove (simple stove w/ bun warmer)
and microwave .
First thing to go was the microwave rack which shorted out, the tech said the metal rack shouldn't be installed unless needed, he stuck a new insulator rack hanger in.. For a price !
Next was the ice maker and the oven door handle came off and what a mess that was, the tech said he was told by Sears to charge each item as a separate house call which would be in excess of $300, he was nice and didn't do that since these appliances were just 2 months old .
Since then the vegetable door releases have broken, I epoxied them with some success, the humidity adjusters for the vegetable drawer, one is broken, that slide in freezer near ice maker kept freezing up making the basket slide unusable, I remover it, also icing problems making the freezer door unable to close properly.
The newest thing 2 years into this Kenmore hell, the door handle on the microwave is ready to break due to a loose screw or something at bottom of handle.
My 10 year old freezer and drier in garage are the best never a problem, maybe a belt 3 years ago, what happened... Greed???
