Rudolph Honda - El Paso TX Complaint - Deceptive Practices - New Car Purchase

Review by tired of tricks on 2008-12-18
EL PASO, TEXAS -- I went to buy a new car. They continuously tried to up the price on me after looking at different cars. They only way I got what they had originally offered was that I made them correspond via email and had their quotes in writing. Then they tried to (extremely) low ball my trade and the only way I got what it was worth was to have looked it up myself on KBB trade value. Then they tried to swindle me into paying for things that were "included" in the price, but this was not true. In the midst of signing paperwork the "included items" came in the form of an extra charge invoice. When I asked why I was being asked to sign this paper they had no answer; then they had to lower the price when I declined the accessories. Come to find out it was something that was already provided on the car from the manufacturer and I was going to get it anyway, so best I could tell they wanted $500 more dollars FOR NOTHING.

Then when I bought some accessories in the parts shop they tried to charge me more than what I was just quoted not 5 min prior. When I had them installed they did a poor job and had to take it back for them to fix. Stay away from this dealership!! I feel they tried to deceive me and pull fast ones right and left.

Lucky I was paying attention to their tricks.

I'm only guessing that ElPaso has more than one Honda dealer. If you had so many problems, why did you continue to work with them? First time they started messin' with me, I'd have walked out. You should have, too.
