Paytell Communications Informative - Hoodwinked Again - Correctional Institution Prepaid Service

To whom it may or may not concern,
Beware of the prepaid accounts with Paytell correctional services. I prepaid did fine, then boom my account comes up saying I owe 342.63.The reason when I call is they made a mistake and added this much money to this acct, and I was liable for this mistake the worse service I have ever seen with any co. I have dealt with since I became of age. No live person to discuss this with, but automated, so I had to cancel my debit card and get another!So then they could not take any money to pay this trumped up charge. When I did speak to someone I was put on hold for 2 hours for them to come back and say their atty. Said I had to pay. They were only supposed to add money when it got down to 25 dollars. It is a racket between the jail at newton county has going with Paytell!

We apologize for the frustration you have experienced with our company. We made a double booking error on your account regarding your AUTOPayTel account for 770-784-XXXX. We charged your credit/debit card for one AUTOPayTel payment. Unfortunately, we credited two payments to your account thereby creating a higher available credit than what you actually paid. We sent an email explaining this error to you on December 17, 2008 and the double booking of payments was corrected the same day. A total of $350.00 was credited to your account and you used all of these funds to receive the collect calls. We spoke with you on December 19th, explained this error and you acknowledged receiving the phone calls and agreed to our extended payment plan. In the future, if we fail to meet your needs, you can email a manager at CustomerRelations@paytel.com and your request will be addressed the same day. Thank you. Customer Relations
